Delegation Request

Thank you for your interest in appearing before the Municipality of Bluewater Council.

The Delegation Request Form and any written submissions or background information for consideration by either Municipality of Bluewater Council or Committees of Council must be received by noon (12:00 p.m.) three days prior to the meeting publication date (Tuesday). No materials will be distributed at the meeting. A person wishing to address Council or a Committee may speak for up to 10 minutes. Please note that only three delegation requests are permitted during a meeting.

Please note that delegations which request action to be taken by Council shall be referred to staff by a majority vote for a report that shall be presented to Council at a future Council meeting. All other delegations will be received for information. A decision will not be made at the meeting where the delegation is heard.

Note: If an individual or organization appears as a delegation before Council or a Committee, a further delegation from the same individual or organization concerning the same topic(s) will not be permitted unless there is significant new information to be brought forward, subject to approval by the Clerk. Specific new information must be identified on this form and/or attached for approval.

Terms: Requests to appear before Council or Committee must be received in writing by the Clerk by noon (12:00 pm) three days prior to the meeting publication date, complete with a copy of the presentation materials. Failure to provide the required information on time will result in a loss of privilege to appear as a delegation.

I acknowledge that the information contained on this form, including any attachments, will become public documents, and listed on Bluewater’s meeting agendas.

I also understand that if the materials contain any obscene or improper matter, language, the Clerk shall decide whether it shall be included in the agenda for a Council meeting and if not, I will be notified.
